St. Marcellus Day celebration Oct. 30 at Notre Dame

Pilgrimage, Supper, Prayer Service, and Keynote Address

The relics of St. Marcellus are kept at Notre Dame’s Sacred Heart Basilica, and each year on his feast day, pilgrims visit those relics and meditate on the current-day meaning of his martyrdom for peace 1,700 years ago.

3:30 pm:  Pilgrimage begins at St. Joseph Church (Hill and LaSalle, South Bend) and heads to Notre Dame, making stops for songs and prayers

5:30 pm: Soup Supper & “Passion of Marcellus” play

@ Sacred Heart parish center (Moreau Dr off Douglas Rd)

7:00 pm:  Prayer Service and Keynote Address

“Living Signs of Peace”

Susan Classen is the director of Cedars of Peace, a small retreat center on the grounds of the Sisters of Loretto Motherhouse in central Kentucky. Before joining the Loretto community, she was engaged in development work in Latin America for over 20 years. A passion for transformation is a common thread in her work as a retreat leader, author, and speaker.
